All members are invited to obtain KUGB approved sparring mits (white) which are now compulsory for kumite in competition and gradings. They are available by mail order from Kamae (see link to Kamae web site).
In the interests of safety, and also as sensible preparation for competitions and gradings, gumshields should be worn during freestyle kumite practice at the club. Groin guards, and chest protectors for females, should also be worn as a matter of routine.
