We again hosted the central region training course at Holme Pierrepont and I am pleased to report it was a huge success. Enthusiasts from as far afield as the north east of England and Wales attended what was a very demanding session.
The day began with the all grades course which concentrated on punching combinations delivered using footwork we had actually practiced on Friday evening! The squad session was a very vigorous affair with the black belts being divided up into three cohorts: 3rd dan and above; 2nd dan; and 1st dan. The relevant grading combinations were drilled before close attention was paid to the minutiae of three grading katas. This was a fabulous opportunity for members to develop their standard and preparedness for their forthcoming gradings.
Teddie Henderson, Steve Hull, Audrius Mikalauscas, Caroline Rees, Anthony Mills, Gregory Mills, Steve Cassapi and Becky Cassapi attended the all grades session. The squad session in the afternoon was attended by: Rosemary Hall, Zoe Collard, Arthur Hall, Steve Hull and Caroline Rees.
