In this the penultimate “Early Bird” session of 2008 we worked on five katas:
Heian Godan; Bassai Dai; Kanku Dai; Nijushiho; Gankaku.
The class was divided into three groups: kyu grades; 1st dans; 2nd dans and above. Each group worked on two katas. The individual moves were rehearsed to count and the kata was then performed lightly all the way through. To conclude the 1 hour session both katas were performed at 75% intensity. A 25% discount was given due to the early start!
