We spent the last of this summer’s “early bird” sessions perfecting our katas…alfresco! The leisure centre hadn’t opened by our start time of 7am so we trained on a tennis court. Not the first time; won’t be the last. Invigorating.
The morning’s agenda was as follows:
Kyu grades: Heian Nidan; Heian Yondan; Heian Godan (x3)
1st dans: Kanku Dai; Jion; Hangetsu; Enpi; Nijushiho
2nd dans and above: Gojushiho Dai; Gojushiho Sho; Gankaku; Sochin; Nijushiho
The five “early birds” were: Frank Dennis; Kerry Lee; Audrius Mikalauskas; Pat Darcy; Alan Lea.
