We kicked off punching but worked on our legs nonetheless! Gobbledegook? Not a bit of it! Using oitsuki and sanbon tsuki we emphasised the importance of leg speed: matching the legs to the hands; not the other way around. The difference? Like chalk and cheese.
In partnerwork we worked on kizame tsuki and gyaku tsuki using three different combinations/footwork patterns. The exercise evolved into jiue ippon style training using a prescribed attack delivered twice. The defender used two methods of defending and countering.
12 members trained in the session: Jonathan Cobb; Luke Cobb; George Coates; Jonathan Osborne; Paul Osborne; Miguel Dennis; Frank Dennis; Becky Cassapi; Bob Dainty; Gregory Mills; Ryan Skilton; Gobe Hobona.
