Club Grading Examiner Coaches England to Gold!
Sensei Frank Brennan 7th dan, the club’s grading examiner and current England coach, returned from Mexico recently having achieved great success at the World Championships held in Cancun. The England Squad took a huge tally of medals in both male and female kata and kumite across all age divisions. The highlight of the event, which was held over the weekend of 26th/27th September, was the gold medal achieved by the men’s kumite team. They retained the World kumite crown they won two years ago in Poland, by defeating the Czech Republic 4-1 in an exciting final. Club members are travelling to Austria next month to support Sensei Brennan and his charges as they bid to retain the European title as well!
