South Notts Shotokan Karate Club

The Quarter Century Club!

The club will be celebrating its 25th anniversary next year and is producing a souvenir publication to commemorate the event. The club has gone from strength to strength since it was established in Keyworth in 1985 by instructor Rob Manning who is a 4th dan black belt. Over the years many youngsters and adults from the village have trained at the club and a significant number have progressed through the ranks and achieved black belt level themselves. The club has also enjoyed considerable success in regional and national competitions and at one stage boasted two England U21 squad members! The souvenir publication will chronicle these and other achievements and will include photographs and articles.

Anyone from Keyworth who has trained at the club at any time during the past quarter of a century is invited to put pen to paper and submit a short (or long!) article for possible inclusion.

The club wishes all the community in Keyworth a happy and peaceful Christmas & New Year. Adults, young people and children (min 8 yrs), wishing to learn karate in 2010 may contact the club secretary on (07811) 819221 for more details.
