“Early Bird” Session

There was a very good turnout for the first “early bird” session of the summer this morning. 17 enthusiasts lined up at the Keyworth dojo for an hour’s intensive kata study. Those present ranged from absolute beginners, of which there were two, through to black belt, of which there was one.  The first half of the session was devoted to the practise of grading kata which obviously differed according to grade, and in the second half  everyone practised Heian Shodan. Those present were asked to ‘research’ the katas they are working on in advance of next week’s class using the variety of resources available to them including the internet; the process of development and refinement will continue in the dojo next week at 7.30am prompt!

Those present were: Oliver Martin, Ethan Moult, Robert Lowne, Nia Way, Cerys Way, Ian Way, Reece Newton, Luke Roberts, Michael Banner, Jon Straw, Henry Straw, Willy Astley, George Coates, Jonathan Osborne, Paul Osborne, Frank Dennis, Audrius Mikalauskas
