The club’s assistant instructors, black belts, and brown belts (16yrs +) are encouraged to enter the selection process for this year’s regional kata squad. The training is primarily aimed at developing the squad members’ technical standard and understanding of the advanced shotokan kata. The sessions are two hours in length and follow the regional all-grades sessions held periodically throughout the year. The sessions are intense and enormously rewarding. They are delivered by Sensei Frank Brennan 7th dan.
