A medals’ haul of Olympian proportions was won by the club at the recent fiercely contested KUGB central region championship 2013! 45 competitors from the club took on opposition from across the Midlands achieving a level of success unprecedented in the club’s 28 year history! There were outstanding performances right across the board in both disciplines of kata and kumite resulting in the club winning its age in medals! 28 in all, with 5 of them gold! This exceptional performance by the whole squad earned the club the best overall performance shields for both kata and kumite – a feat achieved only once before in the history of the event.
