The club had a tremendous day at the 2016 KUGB Central Region Championships recently when its squad of 29 competitors won an impressive array of medals resulting in the award of the best club performance shield for kumite! This is the third time in four years that the club has received this accolade and in previous years has been successful in achieving the double – that is to say winning the kata shield as well. Indeed this year the club finished in second place in the contest for the kata shield aided and abetted in this challenge by some outstanding individual and team performances by the squad members!
