There are a number of opportunities to be assessed for promotion to black belt 1st dan and beyond. These are national events and take place at various locations throughout the country.
There are also usually two special dan gradings each year which provide an opportunity to be assessed for 3rd dan and above. The grading panel is made up of three senior members of the KUGB technical committee who are all 8th dans. You can read about them on the link below:
