The club’s Safeguarding Officer is Mrs Caroline Newcombe (2nd dan KUGB Shotokan Karate). Caroline is a primary school head teacher and member of the SNSKC.
The club’s Welfare Officer is Dr Tim Baker FRCGP BMBS (5th dan KUGB Shotokan Karate). Dr Tim is a medical doctor and a member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK. He is a member of the SNSKC
The KUGB is committed to ensuring that karate is a safe practice for all and has a safeguarding team including a designated Safeguarding Officer, Welfare Officer and DBS Officer.
