The club’s final grading of 2009 took place on Friday December 11th at our Holme Pierrepont dojo. As always, proceedings were expertly conducted by Sensei Brennan 7th dan who delivered a challenging session tailored to suit the range of grades in attendance: novice to 6th dan black belt! There were some outstanding performances in the grading itself and a number of people really excelled themselves.
By the way, for those aiming to take grading examinations in 2010, there really isn’t any secret to improving your ability in karate; in fact the formula is rather well known: train as much as possible!
The 7 x winner of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong was once asked how to get good at climbing hills.
His response?
“Do more hills!”
