Our quarterly club grading took place on Friday 3rd Sept at our Holme Pierrepont dojo under the expert eye of Sensei Frank Brennan 7th dan. The pre-grading training session was a demanding hour of basics and kata which stretched everyone irrespective of grade. Although the number grading was slightly lower than usual (due in part to a number of members not having been able to train sufficiently since the last grading because of summer holidays), I am pleased to report that the standard was very good. In fact many members were complimented by Sensei Brennan on their “good attitude”. This endorsement can not be bought, it can only ever be earned; this is what makes it so priceless for those who receive it.
